Kansas running back Jake Sharp has already tied the school record with four rushing touchdowns as the Jayhawks are cruising against Kansas State, 45-14, early in the fourth quarter.
Sharp is averaging nearly 10 yards per touch, rushing for 181 yards and also adding 76 receiving yards on five grabs. The Jayhawks have scored on seven of their nine drives, dominating from the opening snap.
With Kansas dominating, it would be surprising if key players like Kansas quarterback Todd Reesing or Sharp countinue playing.
Elsewhere around the Big 12, Colorado has already used both Tyler Hansen and Cody Hawkins at quarterback as the Buffaloes lead, 7-3, late in the second quarter. The Buffaloes took an early 7-0 lead as Hawkins led them on a drive keyed by a big catch by tight end Riar Geer. Freshman Rodney Stewart's 6-yard run capped the drive for the Colorado touchdown.
And Missouri scored on its opening possession to take an early 7-0 lead against Baylor.
