Missouri maintains slight lead early in fourth

Don't look now but Baylor could be poised for one of those upsets that Art Briles talked about before the season. The ones, he said, that would make people pick up their paper and go "Wow."

Freshman quarterback Robert Griffin is having a big game, but Chase Daniel's 13-yard touchdown pass to Chase Coffman moments ago gave  Missouri a 28-21 lead with about 14 minutes left in the game.

Missouri scored on its first two possessions, but Baylor has come storming back behind Griffin, who has already thrown for 229 yards.

But the biggest stunner so far is the way the Bears have been able to run against Missouri. Jay Finley and Griffin have combined for 83 rushing yards as Baylor has averaged a respectable 3.9 yards per carry so far.

If the Bears can stay balanced -- and his defense holds up against Chase Daniel -- Briles might get that upset.

And if he does, it would throw the North Division into a conundrum. Kansas would have a game lead with Nebraska set to play at Oklahoma tonight.

Stay tuned.
