Texas trainer Kenny Boyd reported Sunday that the condition of defensive end Brian Orakpo and Quan Cosby will be judged later in the week before a determination is made about their playing availability for the Longhorns' game against Baylor on Saturday.

Orakpo sustained a sprained right knee in the third quarter of the Longhorns' 39-33 loss to Texas Tech Saturday night in Lubbock. He left the field on crutches.

And Cosby injured his back early in the first quarter after making two grabs for three yards. Those catches enabled him to stretch his streak to 40 consecutive games with a reception. Cosby led Texas in all-purpose yards and ranked second in receptions before last night's game.

Orakpo was playing at an All-American level before his injury, leading the Longhorns with 15 tackles for losses, nine sacks and 21 quarterback pressures.

Boyd said both players will be evaluated throughout the week before it is determined whether they will play on Saturday.
