Nebraska coach Bo Pelini was surprised when he learned that Oklahoma dropped two places in the Bowl Championship Series standings from last week despite running up an impressive 62-28 victory over his team.

The Sooners dropped from fourth to sixth in this weeks' BCS standings, despite jumping ahead of Nebraska 35-0 in the first quarter and stretching their nation-best home winning streak to 23 games.

"That's crazy. I don't know how it could happen," Pelini said. "It's crazy they would drop because that's a good football team. It surprises me."

Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said he was similarly puzzled with the erosion of his team's poll support.

"Yeah, a little bit, but I'm totally surprised," Stoops said. "With Tech coming up after they beat Texas, you kind of thought that could happen. But there's still so much football left. There's still a lot that can happen."
