College football media days can produce the unexpected. Monday, that included pitting Baylor against the Dairy Queen community in Salem, Oregon.
After Baylor Bears coach Art Briles suggested college football fans at Dairy Queens in Salem, Oregon have now probably heard of Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty, Oregonian columnist John Canzanoa and his assistants at a Portland radio station decided to check.
None of the six locations had heard of Petty.
One male Dairy Queen employee said, "I'm not familiar with it at all, I can ask my manager."
The manager said, "I have no idea. I don't know."
