Sooners lose out on OL Damien Robinson
By ESPN.com staff
Oklahoma took a recruiting loss Wednesday morning when mammoth offensive lineman Damien Robinson of Olive Branch, Miss., elected to stay close to home and attend Mississippi State.
The Sooners' hopes weren't expected to be strong for Robinson, a 6-foot-7, 320-pound tackle who was ESPNU's No.104-ranked player.
Dan Mullen closed late to lure Robinson to the Bulldogs, beating out the Sooners, Mississippi and Arkansas.
It would have been a nice addition for Bob Stoops to add Robinson on signing day, but one that the Sooners really didn't have as of a strong commitment.
