Nebraska and Colorado played one of the most entertaining games of the season last year, combining for 116 points in a wild shootout where the Buffaloes finally prevailed, 65-51.
It looks like this season could be more of the same.
Colorado erupted quickly with two long touchdowns -- and their two longest plays of the season -- on a touchdown pass from Cody Hawkins to Riar Geer and Demetrius Sumler's 36-yard TD run.
Despite that slow start -- which featured some sideline bombastics from Nebraska coach Bo Pelini for good measure -- the Cornhuskers came storming back.
Joe Ganz rifled a pair of touchdown passes during a 102-second span late in the first quarter that pulled the Cornhuskers into a tie at the end of the quarter.
The Cornhuskers are challenging again after a late interception by linebacker Tyler Wortman. Both teams have combined for 305 yards and we should see a lot more as the game progresses.
