Oklahoma completed its 2009 football schedule Thursday by announcing a Sept. 12 game against Idaho State in Norman.

The Sooners' game against the Miami Hurricanes at Dolphin Stadium had to be rescheduled. The road game will now be played on Oct. 3 in Miami.

The Sooners' nonconference schedule includes its Sept. 5 opener against BYU at the Dallas Cowboys' new stadium in Arlington, Texas, and a Sept. 19 game against Tulsa in Norman.

"Working in concert with our coach, Bob Stoops, we are pleased with the quality of our non-conference schedule and feel fortunate to adhere to our core scheduling philosophy in preparing our team for a rigorous conference slate," Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione said in a prepared statement.

"It took a considerable amount of cooperation between Oklahoma and Miami to maintain that game, but the two schools were able to work together to keep it on the schedule."

The FCS Bengals shouldn't pose too much of a problem for the Sooners. Idaho State went 1-11 last season, claiming their only Big Sky victory with a 36-33 overtime triumph over Sacramento State in the final game to snap a 15-game losing streak.

Idaho State ranked as the nation's worst FCS team in total defense and pass efficiency defense, next-to-last in scoring defense and had the FCS's sixth-worst rushing defense.

Additionally, the Bengals ranked 102nd or worst among FCS teams in rushing offense (104th), turnover margin (107th), pass defense (104th), sacks allowed (102nd) and tackles for losses (105th).

Including the Big 12 portion of the schedule, the Sooners will face eight 2008 bowl teams next season.
