By ESPN.com staff
Daniel Thomas led the league in rushing his first season in the Big 12, with over 1,200 yards after transferring to Kansas State from junior college.
He's the early leader once again, with 19 carries for 141 yards and a touchdown to help Kansas State to a 17-13 lead late in the third quarter over UCLA.
He's also the Wildcats' leading receiver, with two catches for 16 yards.
Carson Coffman, who beat out Sammuel Lamur and Collin Klein to win the starting job in preseason for the second consecutive year, has completed 10 of 15 passes for 56 yards.
Kansas State trailed 10-7 at halftime, but has scored on both possessions to open the second half. Backup running back William Powell busted loose for a 28-yard score on the Wildcats' opening drive.
