Another day, another player.

Harold
Kansas State defensive end Brandon Harold was one of the most underrated players in the Big 12, developing into one of the nation's top freshman pass rushers last season and a pillar of the Wildcat defense.

Here's more about today's addition to the list, the conference's 39th best player.

Player: Brandon Harold
Team: Kansas State
Position: Defensive end
Vitals: 6-foot-6, 264 pounds, So., East St. Louis, Ill.

Why he was picked: Developed last season as one of only seven true freshmen on the Wildcats' roster last season. He became the Wildcats' most consistent pass rusher, leading the team with 10.5 tackles for loss. Campbell also produced 47 tackles, three sacks and tied for the team's lead with two forced fumbles.

What 2009 will hold: Ian Campbell is gone from the other side of the KSU defense, meaning that opposing teams will focus on Harold on a more consistent basis. Will he be able to duplicate his stellar freshman numbers? The Wildcats' bowl hopes might depend on it.

The countdown:

40. Oklahoma FB Matt Clapp

39. Kansas State DE Brandon Harold
