Landry Jones can prove he's a different QB
By David Ubben
GLENDALE, Ariz.--We've seen that before.
A little over a month ago, Landry Jones threw a pick-six in the Sooners' biggest game of the year at that point, helping Oklahoma State linebacker Shaun Lewis bring the Cowboys to within four points.
His mental toughness will be tested again against Connecticut after another interception returned for a touchdown has the Huskies trailing just 14-7 early in the second quarter after Oklahoma dominated the first quarter.
He rebounded in Bedlam to finish with 468 passing yards and four touchdowns. He might not need the same level of performance as he had against the Cowboys, who finished with 41 points, but he'll have to have a short memory to keep the Sooners on track for what looked like a blowout victory early on.
