Another Big 12 QB comes off the market
By ESPN.com staff
Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones and Sooners women's basketball guard Whitney Hand already had the campus' most high-profile relationship.
Now, not unlike Jones' play in the 2010 season, they're taking it to the next level.
Jones and Hand were engaged on Sunday night, according to multiple postings on Hand's Twitter account, as well as a photo of Jones' proposal on the account.
Jones, however, looks to be the final piece of a trend among Big 12 quarterbacks.
Sorry ladies, but now that Jones has plans to get hitched, he marks the last of the Big 12's top four quarterbacks to leave the single life behind.
Oklahoma State's Brandon Weeden, 27, married his wife Melanie in the summer of 2009.
Baylor's Robert Griffin III proposed to his fiance, Rebecca, after beating Kansas State to become bowl eligible last season.
And Texas A&M's Ryan Tannehill proposed to his fiance, Lauren, last month.
Here's guessing all four significant others have gotten a recent education on the dangers of calling in to talk radio shows.
