KU finding a new star at RB
By David Ubben
Kansas running back Darrian Miller wowed teammates from the moment he stepped on the field this spring.
As a true freshman, he's already making a big impact.
The Kansas City native tied the game with Georgia Tech at 14 with his second touchdown run of the game midway through the second quarter. He's gotten an equal share of carries with incumbent starter James Sims, but Miller has 45 yards on seven carries to Sims' 30 yards.
Miller already had 120 yards and a score on 23 carries in his first two games combined. He may equal that production in his third game at this pace.
Either way, Miller is validating his teammates' assessments and looks like a shifty back who could start for just about any team in the Big 12.
