STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State has cut into Houston's lead, but might end up having to play the rest of the game without leading rusher Kendall Hunter.
The Oklahoma State radio network reported that Hunter appeared to injure his ankle late in the first half and did not appear on the Cowboys' sidelines for the start of the second half.
The Cowboys charged back on their first possession, marching 62 yards on nine plays using backup running backs Keith Toston and Beau Johnson. Toston scored on a 7-yard run.
As much as Mike Gundy might be worried about Hunter's absence, he's got to be more concerned about his defense getting a stop or two. The Cowboys have yet to force a Houston punt.
And now would be a good time for them to start.
