By David Ubben
The Big 12 has named its official players of the week, as voted on by a panel of media.
David Ash, QB, Texas: Ash threw for a career-high 326 yards and four touchdowns in a 66-31 win over Ole Miss. Those four touchdowns were also a career high, and equaled his total in all of last season. He completed 15 consecutive passes at one point, and finished 19-of-23, helping the Horns rack up 676 yards of total offense, the second-most in school history.
Joel Hasley, LB, TCU: Hasley had eight solo tackles and totaled 12 stops in the Frogs' 20-6 win over Kansas on Saturday. He also had two sacks in his second career start, helping the Frogs keep Kansas out of the end zone. TCU's defense has yet to allow a touchdown.
Tyler Lockett, KR/WR, Kansas State: With K-State trailing, 7-0, Lockett returned the ensuing kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown, giving him three for his career and helping K-State beat North Texas, 35-21. He finished with 119 yards on his two kickoff returns, and needs just two more touchdowns to tie the school record of five, set by Brandon Banks.
