TCU ready for spotlight in Fort Worth
By David Ubben
FORT WORTH, Texas -- There's a few clouds in the sky and a strong wind, but it's a warm, gorgeous fall day in North Texas for No. 2 Kansas State's first visit to new Big 12 member TCU.
It's quite the sight to see the brand-new stadium in action and the 10 Big 12 team flags flying outside the stadium.
The Wildcats' hopeful march to the BCS title game makes its first of three stops against Texas teams to close the season, but this is the same K-State team that went undefeated against Texas teams a season ago. That record will be tested against a young, streaky but capable TCU team. Getting to 10-0 won't be easy.
Kansas State hasn't released any word on Collin Klein's status, and won't do so before the game. Coach Bill Snyder turned down a pregame interview request, but Klein is expected to play from those inside the program.
Can he do so effectively, though? And will Kansas State's game plan change? That's what we won't know until the game gets started.
Should be a fun one. Stick around all night for plenty of coverage right here, and I'll also be tweeting throughout the games tonight.
