KSU's sputters again inside Missouri red zone
By ESPN.com staff
Kansas State needed to make a statement on its first second-half possession after struggling in the first half against Missouri.
The Wildcats had a first-and-10 at the Missouri 20, but struggled again on a drive that was punctuated by a 35-yard field by Josh Cherry to pull within 17-9 early in the third quarter.
It marked the third time the Wildcats had advanced inside the Missouri 20 in the game. Those drives featured two field goals and a fumble.
A bright in that first second-half drive for the Wildcats was the return of the passing game under Grant Gregory. But they'll need much more if they want to climb back in the game.
