Longhorns take to the ground to extend lead
By ESPN.com staff
COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- Texas leaned on its massive offensive line to push its lead to 35-21.
After Sergio Kindle recovered Christine Michael's fumble at the Texas 42, the Longhorns ran on every play on a 58-yard scoring drive.
Tre' Newton capped the drive with a 7-yard touchdown run. His run pushed him to 103 yards for the game.
The Longhorns' line and running game have been the most-maligned part of their offense this season.
They have answered those questions by piling up 244 rushing yards. That total is more than the Longhorns have produced in every game with the exception of their victory over UTEP on Sept. 26.
And there's still more than 8 minutes left in the third quarter.
