One more swing across the conference

Posted by ESPN.com's Tim Griffin

Despite playing with a new quarterback, Connecticut has come into Waco and appears to be humbling Baylor.

The Huskies have done a strong job containing Robert Griffin and made it look easy with a 30-22 lead.

Not surprisingly, the Huskies have been able to dominate in the trenches as they've piled more than 200 yards rushing. Backup Connecticut tailback Andre Dixon has rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns and Jordan Todman has added more than 100 yards.

Utah State and Texas A&M are involved in a surprising shootout at Kyle Field. Both teams have scored the first two times they've had the ball in a 14-14 tie.

And Iowa State appears ready to stop its nation-worst 17-game losing streak as it has jumped to a quick 24-7 lead over Kent State. Austen Arnaud has accounted for three quick touchdowns to stake the Cyclones to the lead.

We're about 15 minutes away from kickoff here, so I'll check back with the weather conditions in a few minutes.
