#CFBrank by the numbers: Ohio State leads the way

It should be no surprise that defending national champion and preseason favorite Ohio State has the most players (nine) in the preseason edition of #CFBrank, ESPN.com's list of the 100 best college football players heading into the 2015 season. But it might be a surprise to learn which team has the second-most players in #CFBrank -- Baylor. With 39 teams represented, here's a closer look at the players who made #CFBrank, by team:

  • 102: Because of ties -- including five people at No. 98 -- the #CFBrank features 102 players.

  • 0: Among the teams with no players picked in #CFBrank: Iowa, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Missouri, Northwestern, Texas, Washington and West Virginia.

  • 2: TCU, which was picked by the media to win the Big 12, has only two players in our list: QB Trevone Boykin at No. 5 and WR Josh Doctson at No. 63.

  • 1: Ohio State's Pat Elflein (No. 47) is the lone offensive guard on the list.

  • 0: No freshmen made our list. Juniors led the way with 43.

  • 2: The Group of 5 has two players in #CFBrank -- Colorado State WR Rashard Higgins at No. 49 and BYU QB Taysom Hill at No. 81.
