The watch list for the Thorpe Award, given annually to college football's top defensive back, has been trimmed to a list of 10 semifinalists.
Nebraska's Prince Amukamara is the Big 12's only representative. Here's how the watch list looked in the preseason.
Amukamara is tied for the national lead with 10 breakups this season, and his play has helped push Nebraska into the national lead in pass efficiency defense, as well as No. 3 in pass defense.
Amukamara is also No. 3 on ESPN NFL draft analyst Mel Kiper's Big Board.
He has 29 tackles on the year and is the Huskers' first Thorpe Award semifinalist since Josh Bullocks in 2003.
The three finalists will be announced on Nov. 22, before the award is announced on Dec. 9 at the Home Depot College Football Awards show on ESPN.
