Former TCU linebacker Paul Dawson is still learning from Horned Frogs coach Gary Patterson.
"We talked yesterday and he was like, ‘Don't boast and brag too much. It's better to understate and overplay.' That's the mantra I'll go with,” Dawson told reporters during a press conference at TCU on Tuesday.
It was a surprise to see Dawson fall into the late third round, particularly considering several NFL draft experts considered him one of top linebacker prospects in the draft. People have pointed to off-field concerns about Dawson but I wouldn't be surprise to see him follow a similar path as his new teammate Vontaze Burfict, who had plenty of questions about him when he arrived in the NFL but has become one of the league's top linebackers.
