Big 12: Troy Winslow

It wouldn't be a game night in the Big 12 without a couple of Way Backs to remind us of previous great games on this date. How about these?
Sept. 17, 1955: Hawaii 6, Nebraska 0 (Lincoln, Neb.) -- The Rainbow Warriors avenged a 50-0 loss to the Cornhuskers the previous season. Hartwell Freitas accounted for the game's only TD on a 1-yard plunge as two late Cornhusker drives were turned away deep in Hawaii territory.
Sept. 17, 1966: No. 9 USC 10, Texas 6 (Austin, Texas) -- With USC alum John Wayne watching from the sidelines, the Trojans dominated play behind a steady defense and QB Troy Winslow. USC scoring was accounted for on a 9-yard TD run by Winslow and a 23-yard field goal by DE/K Tim Rossovich. The USC defense confounded Texas QB Bill Bradley, who scored on a 9-yard run, but also fumbled at the USC 11 to end another drive.
