National signing day is in full swing, and here are a few key developments this morning around the Big East:

• West Virginia has lost one of its top commitments. Cornerback Michael Carter has changed his pledge from the Mountaineers to Minnesota. Carter, of Pompano Beach, Fla., is ranked as the No. 17 cornerback in the nation.

• South Florida continues to get it done. The Bulls this morning picked up linebacker Sam Barrington from Jacksonville, who chose USF over Illinois and Miami. They've also landed receiver Sterling Griffin from Miami's Pace High School, who was also being recruited by Purdue, Pitt, Ole Miss and Wisconsin.

• Running back David Oku has scratched Tennessee from his list and is still considering Syracuse and Auburn. But he's not expected to make a decision today. It would be a huge steal for the Orange, whose new running backs coach, Stan Drayton, recruited Oku to the Volunteers.
