You'd be pretty crazy to build a Mount Rushmore for Connecticut football.

Sure, the Huskies have fielded a team since 1896, but they've only played at the FBS level since 1999. The best is yet to come for this program.

Call us crazy. We're doing it now anyway.

Randy Edsall: UConn's only coach since it moved to Division I-A, Edsall is the face of the program and has led the Huskies to three bowl games and a share of the 2007 Big East title.

Skip Holtz: His record as head coach from 1994-98 was only 34-23. But more importantly, Holtz pushed hard for UConn to move up from I-AA, and his famous last name and winning ways made that seem like a plausible idea.

Dan Orlovsky: The team's all-time leader in career and passing yardage, he powered the Huskies to their first bowl game in 2004.

Donald Brown: He led the nation in rushing in 2008. And though he was more steady than spectacular his first two years, Brown showed that players can do big things at UConn, which should only help attract future players to Storrs.

Disagree with any of these selections? Fire away.
