It's time to wrap up our Mount Rushmores for each Big East team with West Virginia.
Plenty of stars have come through Morgantown over the years. Here are the four Mountaineers I would carve into the mountainside (while John Denver playing in the background, of course).
• Sam Huff: One of the greatest linebackers in NFL history, he actually played tackle at West Virginia, earning All-American honors there.
• Don Nehlen: West Virginia's winningest coach prowled the sidelines from 1980 to 2000 on his way to the College Football Hall of Fame.
• Major Harris: He twice finished in the top five of Heisman Trophy balloting and led the team to its first undefeated, untied regular season as a sophomore. He was the best quarterback in school history, at least until ...
• Pat White: He solidified his legacy with four straight bowl wins, including two BCS game triumphs, and with the Mountaineers changing their offense, we might never see a guy quite like him again.
That's a pretty solid foursome, but it still leaves out guys like Steve Slaton, Darryl Talley, Marc Bulger and Amos Zereoue. What do you think?
