Ex-South Florida offensive line recruit Kamran Joyer has signed with Louisville after a weekend visit, the player's father tells Greg Auman of the St. Petersburg Times.
Joyer was released from his scholarship with the Bulls after South Florida became concerned about a large number of grade changes during Joyer's high school tenure. But his father told Auman that Joyer had been fully cleared by Louisville and the NCAA.
Joyer is a 6-foot-2, 317-pound guard who can help the Cardinals. Louisville apparently didn't share the same academic concerns about Joyer that South Florida had. Of course, if an investigation down the road reveals any improper academic dealings in high school, the Cardinals will have to answer to the NCAA.
