Jason Pierre-Paul, a highly rated defensive end and junior-college transfer, has finally gotten his academic paperwork in order and will join South Florida for practice tonight.
Pierre-Paul is a beast physically -- 6-foot-6 and 265 pounds -- and had 10.5 sacks last season at Fort Scott Community College. The thought was that he could come in and start right away. He's missed a lot of practice time already however.
Jim Leavitt announced Pierre-Paul's arrival on his Twitter page, saying: "JPP is ready to go. We will see what he can do tonight."
