SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The USF-Notre Dame game has been suspended because of lightning in the area. Fans have been asked to clear the stadium and head to nearby buildings for shelter, and both teams will remain in the locker room until the referees determine it is safe to return to the field.

Radar shows heavy thunderstorms in the area.

USF leads No. 16 Notre Dame 16-0 at halftime.
