Connecticut's challenge against North Carolina this afternoon just got a little tougher. The Huskies' top linebacker, Scott Lutrus, will not play, Chip Malafronte reports in the New Haven Register.
Lutrus, a junior who led the team in tackles a year ago, suffered a stinger in last week's game at Ohio. Coach Randy Edsall said this week that Lutrus was 50-50 to play, but Malafronte reports that the linebacker is not dressed for warmups.
That's going to make it tougher for UConn to slow down the Tar Heels' rushing game.
