Big East players of the week

Here are the Big East players of the week, as selected by the conference:

Offense: Zach Collaros, QB, Cincinnati. Collaros had 410 yards of total offense and five touchdowns in a 37-34 win at USF. He completed 26-of-41 passes for 389 yards and three touchdowns (6, 21, 30) and rushed for 21 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. He won the game with a 2-yard touchdown run with 12 seconds left.

Defense: Chandler Jones, DE, Syracuse. Jones had six tackles, including two sacks for a loss of 19 yards, and one pass breakup in a 49-23 win against West Virginia -- his first game since the season opener.

Special teams: Dorian Graham, WR, Syracuse. Graham returned a second-quarter kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown, helping Syracuse to a 21-9 halftime lead on its way to a 49-23 against West Virginia. He finished with a game-high 181 all-purpose yards and had a team-high 66 receiving yards on five catches.

Weekly honor roll

JK Schaffer, LB, Cincinnati. Had a team-high eight tackles and a fumble recovery in a 37-34 win at USF.

Jeremy Wright, RB, Louisville. Rushed for 108 yards on 11 carries, averaging 9.8 yards per attempt, in a 16-14 win against Rutgers.

B.J. Daniels, QB, USF. Completed 31-of-48 passes for a school-record 409 yards with three touchdowns in a 37-34 loss to Cincinnati.

Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse. Completed 24 of 32 passes for 229 yards and four touchdowns with one rushing touchdown in a 49-23 win against West Virginia.

Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia. Had seven receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown in a 49-23 loss at Syracuse. Registered his fifth straight game with at least 100 yards receiving.
