Chas Dodd will get the start at quarterback this week for Rutgers against Army, coach Greg Schiano announced Monday.

Dodd began the season as the starter, but was benched in favor of true freshman Gary Nova in the second half against Syracuse. Nova has started the past five games, but was pulled in favor of Dodd in the fourth quarter against USF. Dodd engineered a fourth-quarter comeback to get the Scarlet Knights the 20-17 overtime victory.

"We're going do do like we do at every position, play whoever we feel gives us the best chance to win," Schiano said. "We feel right now Chas gives us the best chance. We have two very good quarterbacks. We feel very confident in that. We're going to use every resource we have to try to win football games."

Nova has had his share of turnovers, and Rutgers had scored three points until Dodd took over against the Bulls.

Schiano also announced that freshman running back Savon Huggins would most likely miss the rest of the regular season with a knee injury. The Scarlet Knights will rely on Jawan Jamison, Jeremy Deering and Joe Martinek primarily in the run game.
