USA Today always does a great job when it comes to getting information on coaching salaries. Its latest report is now out, and to no one's surprise, coaching salaries continue to rise.
The newspaper found the average pay in 2006 for coaches on the FBS level was $950,000. In 2011, the average pay is $1.47 million. In the six AQ conferences, the average pay in 2011 was $2.125 million.
In the Big East, the average pay is $1,683,489. Here is how the Big East coaches stack up against each other:
Greg Schiano, Rutgers: $2,346,969
Charlie Strong, Louisville: $2.305 million
Skip Holtz, USF: $1.7 million
Paul Pasqualoni, UConn: $1.5 million
Dana Holgorsen, West Virginia: $1.49 million
Butch Jones, Cincinnati: $1,393,833
Doug Marrone, Syracuse: $1,048,625
Todd Graham, Pitt: N/A
