Here are the Big East power rankings with one week left in the regular season.

1. West Virginia (8-3, 4-2). The Mountaineers survived the Backyard Brawl 21-20 and are back in the BCS standings at No. 23. They are the only Big East team in the BCS standings and stay at No. 1.

2. Cincinnati (8-3, 4-2). The Bearcats rebounded nicely from their loss at Rutgers with a 30-13 win over Syracuse, keeping them in the hunt for a share of the Big East title. Isaiah Pead showed once again why he is one of the best players in the Big East, and the defense rebounded from a tough showing last week.

3. Louisville (7-5, 5-2). The Cardinals move up two spots after their 34-24 win over USF and have finished the season with seven wins for a second straight year under Charlie Strong. They go for win No. 8 in the bowl game. Louisville ended the season going 5-1.

4. Rutgers (8-4, 4-3). Talk about a devastating loss. The Scarlet Knights had a chance to win a share of its first ever Big East title and instead got wiped out 40-22 at UConn. Their season is over, but what happened in the finale shouldn't take away what has been done in this bounce back season.

5. Pitt (5-6, 3-3). The Panthers held a 20-7 lead over West Virginia but lost 21-20 in large part because their offense couldn't move the ball in the second half. Tino Sunseri was sacked a whopping 10 times.

6. UConn (5-6, 3-3). The Huskies pulled off the shocker over Rutgers and now needs a win over Cincinnati to become bowl eligible.

7. USF (5-6, 1-5). The Bulls blew yet another second-half lead and lost to the Cardinals, as B.J. Daniels missed the game with a shoulder injury. They need a win against West Virginia to keep their bowl streak alive.

8. Syracuse (5-6, 1-5). The Orange have lost four straight and are in danger of missing a bowl game after starting the season 5-2. The offense has been tough to watch, scoring 21 points just once in this four-game skid.
