Pitt hired Inoke Breckterfield as defensive line coach, completing the new staff under coach Paul Chryst.

Breckterfield coached the defensive line at UCLA in 2011.

“Our defensive linemen are going to really benefit from Inoke’s experience as a player and coach,” Chryst said in a statement. “Inoke was an outstanding player at Oregon State who went on to play in the CFL. Personally and professionally, he is an outstanding addition to our staff.”

Breckterfield finished his collegiate career as the Beavers’ career leader in tackles for loss (55.5) and sacks (19.5). As a senior in 1998, he won the Pac-10’s Morris Trophy Award as the top defensive lineman in the league -- as voted on by the offensive linemen in the conference. He began his coaching career at Oregon State in 2006.

Here is the complete Pitt staff:

Bob Bostad: offensive coordinator/offensive line

Bobby Engram: wide receivers

Eddie Faulkner: running backs

Matt House: secondary

Dave Huxtable: defensive coordinator
