Thanks to a strong finish, Rutgers has now moved into the updated ESPN Recruiting Nation top 25 class rankings -- right at No. 25.
The list is updated every hour, so this is subject to change. But still, a huge amount of credit goes to coach Kyle Flood for the job he did in securing this class. Rutgers has one ESPNU150 player in Darius Hamilton for a total of six four-star prospects.
Rutgers signed a strong offensive line class, with two players ranked among the top 25 tackles (Chris Muller and J.J. Denman) and the No. 3 rated center (Brandon Arcidiacono). Each of the 19 high school players signed has a three- or four-star rating. And Maryland transfer R.J. Dill is an experienced starter at offensive line.
Louisville, which had been ranked No. 25 going into signing day, is now listed as "on the cusp." So is Pitt, giving the Big East three of the top 30 recruiting classes in the nation. This has to qualify as a very strong day for the league.
