Chandler Jones in latest mock draft

Early NFL draft buzz has centered around Syracuse defensive end Chandler Jones and Rutgers receiver Mohamed Sanu, two players who left school early to enter the pros.

Sanu has been featured in a few mock drafts as a first-round pick. Now you can add Jones to the list. Todd McShay has Jones going No. 27 overall to the New England Patriots in his latest mock draft. McShay has a lot of pass-rushers on the rise, and Jones is no exception.

McShay says:

"Jones is an under-the-radar pass-rusher with the frame (6-5, 247) Bill Belichick likes in his DE/OLB hybrids, and he's a gifted athlete who bends the edge naturally."

In addition, McShay ranks Jones No. 23 on his big board — Jones' first appearance on the ranking of the top players available for the draft. Sanu is not on McShay's big board, or in his latest mock draft. But Sanu is listed on Mel Kiper's only mock draft to date, going No. 26 to the Houston Texans. Sanu is also rated the No. 5 receiver available by Kiper, while Bruce Irvin is rated the No. 5 outside linebacker available.
