Rutgers coach Kyle Flood has completed his first coaching staff, hiring UCF assistant Jim Panagos to coach the defensive line.

Panagos, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., spent the past five seasons with the Knights. In 2011, UCF ranked in the top 20 in the nation in rushing defense and allowed only nine rushing touchdowns on the season. Since the program's inception in 1979, the Knights' top three seasons for rushing defense have all happened in the past three years under Panagos.

Before UCF, Panagos was an assistant with the Minnesota Vikings.

Here is the complete Rutgers staff. Each assistant has ties to the New York/New Jersey area.

Dave Brock - Offensive coordinator/wide receivers

Robb Smith - Defensive coordinator/secondary

Phil Galiano - Special teams coordinator/defensive line

Dave Cohen – Linebackers

Jeremy Cole – Head strength and conditioning coach

Darnell Dinkins – Tight ends

Jim Panagos – Defensive line

Ben Sirmans – Running backs

Rob Spence – Quarterbacks

Damian Wroblewski – Offensive line
