Temple has hired NFL assistant Frank Leonard to coach the tight ends, the school announced Wednesday.
Leonard has spent the last three seasons coaching the tight ends for the St. Louis Rams. But he has a wealth of experience on the collegiate level as well, with 24 years under his belt. He and coach Steve Addazio played together at Central Connecticut State, and coached together at Western Connecticut under Paul Pasqualoni.
“We’re very excited to have Frank and his family join the Temple football family,” Addazio said in a statement. “Frank is a tremendous fundamental teacher and has great energy and passion for the game. His wealth of experience from the NFL and the collegiate level will be a valuable asset for our players, coaching staff, and university.”
Leonard fills the spot of Matt Rhule, who left to join the New York Giants.
