Louisville moved up two spots to No. 23 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 after its dominating win over in-state rival Kentucky.
The Cardinals picked up 190 points, putting them only eight behind No. 22 Notre Dame. Louisville is now ranked ahead of Florida and Stanford, two teams that have made much more recent BCS game appearances.
USF (five) and Cincinnati (two) are the only other Big East teams that received votes. The Bulls beat Chattanooga; the Bearcats open their season Thursday night against Pitt.
