In this week's On the Mark column, colleague Mark Schlabach looks at Year 3 head coaches, three of whom reside in the Big East.

USF's Skip Holtz, Cincinnati's Butch Jones and Louisville's Charlie Strong all get reviewed for their pasts and presents while Schlabach looks into his crystal ball to determine their future employment statuses.

Surprise, suprise: the forecast is most promising for Strong, whose Cardinals are 4-0 and ranked No. 19.
The future: If Louisville wins the Big East and gets to a BCS bowl game -- and some are already suggesting it might finish the regular season unbeaten -- Strong will be among the hottest coaching candidates in the country. Strong, a native of Batesville, Ark., already has been mentioned as a possible candidate for Arkansas' vacancy.

Schlabach comes away impressed with all three coaches, and he touches on some familiar faces as well, particularly Notre Dame's Brian Kelly. You can read the full piece here.
