All three ranked Big East teams are in action Saturday. South Florida is idle.
No. 18 Louisville at Pittsburgh (ESPNU/WatchESPN, 11 a.m. ET Saturday): An unusually early start time will set the scene for the preseason Big East favorite's road matchup against the conference's biggest question mark. Both offenses will need to get it together after their most recent performances, though the Cardinals can partly blame the horrible conditions they played in last week at Southern Miss.
Syracuse at No. 20 Rutgers (Big East Network/ESPN3, noon ET Saturday): The last meeting between these two schools claiming to have a piece of the New York City area will be another challenge for the Orange. Did their rugged nonconference slate help prepare them for what may be their toughest Big East test?
Temple at Connecticut (ESPN3, 1 ET Saturday): The Owls are riding a bit of momentum following their (second) Big East debut, and they'll try to get the offense rolling again against a UConn team that ranks No. 1 in the Big East in total defense. The Huskies have won every other game so far this season and will look to avoid their first losing streak.
Fordham at No. 21 Cincinnati (ESPN3, 7 p.m. ET Saturday): The Bearcats have looked as good as anyone in the Big East so far, but we probably won't learn much about them Saturday when they take on the 4-2 Rams, Cincinnati's second FCS opponent this season.
