Here are the Big East players of the week, as announced by the league office.

Offense: Montel Harris, RB, Temple. Harris turned in one of the top individual performances in college football history to key Temple’s 63-32 win at Army. He rushed for 351 yards and seven touchdowns -- both BIG EAST and school records -- on 36 carries. The yardage total ranks as the 15th-best in NCAA FBS history. Harris enjoyed his fourth 100-yard game of the season and the 26th 100-yard performance of his career -- the most of any active FBS player. He entered the game against Army fifth in the Big East in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns and ended the game as the conference leader in both categories.

Defense: Khaseem Greene, LB, Rutgers. Greene had 11 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks to help Rutgers to a 10-3 win against Cincinnati, lifting the Scarlet Knights to 5-0 in Big East play for the first time. Greene led a Rutgers defense that limited Cincinnati’s offense -- which entered the game averaging a Big East-leading 34.2 points -- to just three points and 90 rushing yards. Greene moved into sixth place on Rutgers’ career tackles list (358).

Special teams: Brandon McManus, K/P " Temple. McManus scored nine points, all on PATs, in Temple’s 63-32 win at Army and became the Owls’ career scoring leader in the process. He went 9-for-9 on PATs, setting school records for PATs made and attempted, and finished the game with 330 career points to pass Bernard Pierce’s record of 324 points, set last year. McManus, the Big East leader in punting average, also hit a 51-yard punt on his only attempt of the day against the Black Knights.
