When you break school and Big East records, you are a lock to be the conference's player of the week.

So it goes for Temple's Montel Harris, who rushed for 351 yards and seven touchdowns in helping the Owls snap a four-game losing streak with a 63-32 win at Army.

Oh, and he didn't practice all week, ether, as he nursed a knee injury suffered a week earlier against Cincinnati.

Harris has had plenty of highs and lows in his five-year college career, and his final season -- his first at Temple -- got off on the wrong foot after he was limited much of the opening month with injuries.

Then, just as he got healthy, fellow running back Matt Brown hurt his ankle, leaving more carries for Harris, who now has four 100-yard rushing games this season.

His 26 career 100-yard games lead active FBS players, and he is now the Big East's season leader in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.

Harris delivered in historic fashion Saturday, responding to coach Steve Addazio's challenge to his seniors to make the most of their final days of football.
