PITTSBURGH -- B.J. Daniels made a splash in his first two starts in place of Matt Grothe.

But things have gotten much tougher lately for the Bulls freshman quarterback. And today has been a nightmare.

Daniels is just 4-of-8 for 54 yards passing and has tossed two interceptions. Oddly, South Florida hasn't looked downfield much even though that's the way to beat the Pitt defense. The Panthers have shown that they can stop option quarterbacks in the last two years against Navy and West Virginia.

Tino Sunseri is in at quarterback for Pitt.

Update: The Bulls have pulled Daniels out of the game. Backup Evan Landi is now under center.
