Connecticut took yet another step Wednesday to beefing up its future schedules, as the Huskies announced a home-and-home series with Boise State for 2014 and 2018.
The schools will meet Sept. 13, 2014, at Rentschler Field and Sept. 8, 2018, at Bronco Stadium.
“We are very excited to announce that another nationally prominent opponent will be visiting Rentschler Field,” UConn athletic director Warde Manuel said in a statement. “We are committed to giving our fans an exciting football schedule each year and we believe this series with Boise State will be an important piece of that. Husky supporters should be enthusiastic as we will playing home games against Michigan, Maryland, Tennessee, BYU, Virginia and now Boise State in upcoming seasons."
The schools will exchange game guarantees of $250,000, according to Boise State.
"College football fans around the country know all about Boise State and their tradition of competing as a perennial Top 25 team,” UConn coach Paul Pasqualoni said in a statement. "We have built a very exciting schedule for our fans over the next several seasons and we look forward to their support of our Husky team.”

2013: Aug. 29, Towson; Sept. 14, Maryland; Sept. 21, Michigan; Sept. 28, at Buffalo.
2014: Aug. 28, BYU; Sept. 6, Stony Brook; Sept. 13, Boise State.
2015: Sept. 5, Villanova; Sept. 26, Tennessee; Oct. 31, at BYU.
2016: Sept. 3, at Tennessee; Sept. 17, Virginia.
2017: Sept. 16, at Virginia.
2018: Sept. 8, at Boise State.
