In Wednesday's stock report, I knocked on the Big East's use of instant replay, saying I thought it was taking too long in some of the games I had seen.
Well, I was going mostly by anecdotal evidence. Big East associate commissioner Nick Carparelli passed along the following stat:

The Big East has the fastest average replay time in the country at 1:11, a full five seconds ahead of the second-place conference, the Big 12, which is at 1:16. The ACC is 1:17 and the Pac-10 is 1:18. Those are the only four conferences that are above the national average, which is 1:20.
