Be sure to check out my story on Zach Collaros and how he's developed into a star quarterback for Cincinnati.
Here's one anecdote I didn't fit into the story that's pertinent this year, as Bearcats fans have been arguing with Ohio State backers over who has the best team in the Buckeye State.
Collaros grew up as an Ohio State fan, and his father and much of his family went to college in Columbus. His younger sister is a freshman cheerleader for the Buckeyes.
"We have some arguments back home," he said.
Collaros's father, Dean, said Zach was disappointed when Jim Tressel didn't offer him a scholarship out of high school. But he told his son that Brian Kelly's system was a much better fit for his talents, anyway.
"My whole family are Cincinnati fans now," Zach said. "Even my sister."
