And then there were two in the Big East

The only BCS conferences that don't have a championship game this year are the Pac-10 and Big 10.

Sure, the Big East doesn't technically have a conference title game. But it effectively does this year.

Cincinnati plays at Pittsburgh on Dec. 5 for all the marbles. Doesn't matter if Pitt loses to West Virginia on Nov. 27, because if the Panthers beat the Bearcats, they'll both be 6-1 with Pitt owning the head-to-head tiebreaker. Officially, the two teams would be co-Big East champions in that scenario, but only one gets the BCS bid.

It's either a happy accident or incredibly shrewd scheduling by the Big East. Either way, when the SEC, Big 12 and ACC are playing their official conference championship games on Dec. 5, the Big East will join the party that day, too.
