Cincinnati receiver Mardy Gilyard has been named a first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association. Gilyard is the only Big East player on the team.

Gilyard, a senior, has 75 catches for 1,032 yards and 10 touchdowns with one game left this season.

Any snubs from the Big East? Not really. Pitt tight end Dorin Dickerson, a Mackey Award finalist, had a strong case. But the AFCS voters went with BYU's Dennis Pitta at tight end. Pitt's Dion Lewis also deserved consideration but did not get chosen.

The full team can be found here.
